Hi, I'm still alive.

I'm sorry NuTang, I'd forgotten about you. Did you forget about me? I couldn't blame you if you had.

Either way, I suppose you'd like an update on my life?



I went to a school for audio production and engineering. I absolutely loved it, although I can't really pursue a career in cincinnati related to it. You see, the market here is ran by one or two mixed media companies and if you want to do anything at all in a studio environment you might as well open up your own, because no one else is interested in you or even an internship. That doesn't stop me from hoarding all the pro audio software and deals I can, despite my tight budget and lack of a car. I hope to be recording a sortof bluesy, folky album soon because I've been writing a lot of music in that vein.

My older sister got married this summer, that was a good time. My current girlfriend has a ballet audition up in grand rapids (where I used to live, and my sister and her husband still do) in two weeks, so we're going to stay with them for the weekend. It's always nice to see them.

And speaking of the girlfriend, things are going fantastically in that direction. She's the wonderful, fun, and beautiful girlfriend your mom always dreamt you'd come home with.


I was working with an IT company at the 5/3 bank here in cincinnati for a while, but it was a temp position and the contract ran up last friday. Fortunately, the day after, there was a job fair at the 5/3 itself, and I'm now due to start there the 19th. At least I've got something lined up to pay the bills.

Blew a headgasket on my only source of transportation. Rather than spend a couple thousand to put a new engine in a 300 dollar car, It looks like I'll be buying new. I just can't wait to be paying hundreds a month! OH BOY! That's life though, right?

Growing up is kinda weird. No one likes to tell you that. There's no fireworks, no magic or candyass lessons your dad teaches you while you're chuckin' the pigskin out back... You just learn a few certain things on your own, and from what I can gather, the biggest are:

1) You will always be paying for something
2) Taxes are a bitch
3) No matter how busy you are playing grown-up and trying to make ends meet, don't forget to stop and enjoy your time here with the people you love, because you're always so much younger than you realize. Take it day by day.

I'm figuring out the growing up thing myself. For some reason I always imagined that I'd have figured all the workings of the world by now. That I'd be more of a big kid. Yeah right....

Glad to hear the girlfriend is pretty much awesome. =)

For me, taxes aren't so bad 'cause I get 'em taken out of my paycheck, so usually tax time means refund time for me.
But I agree with your other two points: you're always paying for or buying SOMEthing, and if you don't slow down enough to do a little something for yourself, you'll just be building up more stress until you eventually explode. And nobody likes a stressful person. Man, this is making me tired just thinking about it. ha
